Edison William (born on Halloween, 1983) is a photographic collage artist based in Seattle, Washington. After studying photography at the University of North Florida, he spent several years developing his first body of work, "A Travelogue For Sleepwalkers." This collection of 35mm film slides take the viewer into melancholic scenes of an imagined somnambulist's daydream where phantom-like figures wander hypnotically through vivid and minimalistic dreamscapes. His love for vibrancy and romanticized portrayal of nature became his second expansive body of work, "Dreams of Real Places," which develops the characters even further and highlights a deeper connection to the lunar cycle, loneliness, and self-awareness. His penchant for deconstructing the natural world and reassembling it into complete fabrications is what pushes Edison deeper into layering his understanding of what a single photograph can become.
