The UPWARD Gallery invites artists from around the world to be interviewed for publication on our website and/or in our quarterly print magazine. In the interview, the artist can talk about themselves and their art.

General information
 

Interviews with the artist may be published in the “Meet” section and featured: on the gallery's website and in UPWARD's Quarterly print magazine.
The article on the website and/or in the magazine will be based on your answers to our editor's questions. Each artist will receive a set of questions tailored to them.
The article will include a photo of the artist, as well as three to five photos of their work.
The interview text should be between 3,000 and 5,000 characters.
The printed version of the interview takes up 4 magazine pages.

The gallery’s curator make a preliminary selection of the candidates for the interview based on the submitted applications. 
Placing an interview does not imply creating an artist account on the gallery’s website.

Requirements to the artists:
Age 18 years and older, willingness to submit your fine art work and information about yourself for review.

All rights to the photos remain with the artist. In case of claims to the authorship of photos by third parties, the gallery reserves the right to remove these photos from publication on the site for the duration of the proceedings.

  It costs $39 to publish an interview in the magazine.

How to place the interview on the website and in the magazine

1. Fill in and submit a special form on our website. You will need to indicate your full name or creative pseudonym, contact information (website, e-mail, links to social network profiles), short information about yourself and your location, artist's statement, upload files with images of your works and information about them (3 files). It's free!
    
2. The gallery's curator will review your application within 2-10 business days and in case of their positive feedback, we will contact you and send you a link to payment depending on the option of placement you have chosen.
    
3. Within 3 business days of receiving payment, we will prepare and send you our article preparation questions and a request for photos of you and your work.
    
4. Within 5 days of receiving your answers to the questions and photos, we will prepare the article for publication and, depending on the option you choose, send you a link to the published interview on the website or the layout of the magazine publication to approve it for printing in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
    
5. Placement of the interview in our print publication is timed to coincide with its publication dates. Our magazine is published four times a year. The summer issue goes out of print from October 15 (preparation for going out of print takes place during September), the fall issue by January 15, the winter issue by April 15, and the spring issue by July 15. Accordingly, for placement in the summer issue, we need receive payment and information (files and info) from you between June 1 and August 31, in the fall issue between September 1 and November 30, in the winter issue between December 1 and February 28, and in the spring issue between March 1 and May 31.
