Beth Woronoff Brown looks for unexplored places where she can utilize traditional skills in new ways. Working as a choreographer, performance artist, painter, ceramicist, sculptor, construction designer, filmmaker, and writer, she draws upon her diverse talents to create captivating works. Woronoff Brown’s sculptures embody movement, while her buildings reflect sculptural elements. Her choreography showcases narrative, complexity, and order, uniting spoken word, dance, and movement with distinct places to explore emotional situations. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1969, Woronoff Brown grew up in New York City before relocating to the Hudson Valley. She now divides her time between the United States and Merida, Mexico. Woronoff Brown’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree from New York University in 1991 and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Parsons School of Design, which she completed in 1995.
