Caroline Borucki is a multidisciplinary artist from Illinois. She works primarily with reclaimed materials and natural fibers. Inspired by taxonomies of the natural world, she amplifies a connection between humanity and the changing biosphere. Borucki earned an MFA in 2018, through a collaborative program between Oregon College of Art & Craft and the Pacific Northwest College of Art. She built upon her interest in deterioration and waste while participating in the Glean Art Residency [2017], in Portland, Oregon. She began working with repurposed textiles for her slow fashion line, Aesthete Mercantile, upon receiving a BA at Dominican University in 2009.
