I am a self taught visual artist, painting and drawing. I only started as an adult when I moved to a new city where I knew nobody, though I have always been interested in art. Since I retired from the health services it has been my main interest and activity. I live in the west of Ireland and am constantly inspired by the very different local landscapes of Connemara and the Burren. I also spend time in Venice every year where the light and water are a constant inspiration? I use a variety of mediums though mainly acrylic, and pastels. I love working in plain air . I have attended weekly painting classes locally and taken short term courses at the National College of Art and the Burren School of Art. I have had a painting selected for Exhibition by the Artists Pool in London in 2020.
