Born in North Carolina and raised in Virginia within a military Southern family, this African American artist's journey into the world of art began in the colorful confines of daycare. Her love for creativity blossomed early, fostered by a rich tapestry of experiences that shaped her identity. After obtaining her GED, she pursued her passion for the arts by earning an associate degree in Fine Arts from Northern Virginia Community College and Bachelors in Art and Visual Technology from George Mason University, demonstrating both her commitment and talent. Currently, she has shown her work, “Dogwood Memories 2024” in, “In the Making: A Spectrum of Student Creativity 2025” Studio Gallery in Washington D.C. She is currently advancing her education by working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Visual Technology at George Mason University. Using an array of mediums, including graphite pencil, charcoal, acrylics, and oils, she explores the multifaceted nature of her experiences and heritage through her artwork.
