Maia Day is a San Antonio artist who works primarily with painting and drawing to explore themes of identity, history, and the world around her. She draws inspiration from art historical styles and movements, as well as contemporary movies, music, and illustration. She likes to explore different styles and colors and tries to bring a sense of playfulness to her work. Maia has some gallery experience after interning at the Dock Space Gallery in San Antonio, and is currently a student at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she is pursuing a BFA with a minor in Art History.
