Sophia Sperling is a German-American visual artist whose practice explores the intersections of mysticism, psychology, and the natural world. Born in Kiel, Germany and raised just outside Washington D.C., her upbringing between continents instilled a lifelong fascination with duality, transformation, and unseen realities. The creative process has been a steady companion in her life, and a valuable resource to come back to. Being an immigrant, she always had the chance to view her surroundings from a different perspective, and the initial struggle to communicate with words could easily be dissolved by the use of colors and shapes.
