Whitney is a multidisciplinary artist and writer based in the Midwest, whose work explores the profound intersections of love, trauma, and healing. A proud ’90s baby and mother of two, she draws on her diverse cultural surroundings and deep family roots to craft pieces that speak directly to the soul.
Driven by a lifelong fascination with history, literature, and the unknown, Whitney’s visual art is a study in surrealism and abstract expression. Working predominantly with oil, acrylics, and mixed-media impasto textures, she translates complex emotions onto the canvas. Her work, which has been exhibited at venues including the Sullivan-Munce Cultural Center and with the Chicago Women's Caucus for Art, is deeply inspired by the spiritual depth of Mexican folk art and the enduring legacies of visionaries such as Gertrude Abercrombie, Frida Kahlo, Jackson Pollock, Milagros Pongo, and Rocío Caballero.
