Patricia Hochhaus received her Bachelors of Fine Art and Bachelors of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design, and was accepted to study for a year in Rome with RISD's European Honors Program. It was there that she studied Baroque and Renaissance Masters. She continued with another year of study with Syracuse University in Florence, Italy to receive her Masters of Architecture. After studies in Italy, Patricia moved to Hawaii, where she taught for the Art and Digital Design departments of University of Hawaii, Maui College. Teaching art history, design, and architecture, her fine art in oils were focused on local charity donations and private inspiration. After moving to Arizona in 2017, Patricia is now painting full-time, and exploring the relationship between the natural world, the cycle of life, built spaces, and the spiritual resonance that runs between them.
