Alicia Naish is an emerging artist, born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Alicia was attracted to painting and drawing from an early age. As her creative passion grew through her childhood and teen years, she honed her skills and expanded her horizons through many hours of individual work and experimentation in different mediums. She furthered her skills in fine art school. Tragically, Alicia lost her grandmother about the time she graduated. The loss was devastating and undermined her will to create. It took time until she was able to regain her creative drive. When Alicia picked up her tools again, she explored her pain and depression through her art. To her surprise and delight, she found her world view expanding and developed a new love of abstract painting. While never losing her love of drawing, abstract art became a way to more fully express herself and to interpret our world through colour and shape.
