UPWARD Art Publishing invites artists from around the world to produce a co-publication with our print magazine UPWARD's Quarterly—UPWARD's Special Edition.

General information
 

Each issue of UPWARD's Special Edition focuses on the work of one artist. The 22-page publication with high-quality printing includes up to 20 artworks.

Our goal is to give artists who are promoting themselves in the art world a tool to help them open doors to galleries, fairs and museums and find the shortest way to an audience.

You can send this publication to galleries and art stores, libraries and museums, curators and art dealers, give it away at art fairs and your own shows, give it to friends, family and colleagues.

We believe that print is still alive and in demand, and we are pleased to offer our services in preparing and printing an edition that tells and shows the artist's work.

Publication of the special edition does not imply the creation of an artist account on the gallery's website.
All rights to the photos remain with the artist.

Requirements to the artists:
Age 18 years and older, willingness to submit your fine art work and information about yourself for review.

 

Costs and terms

Preparing to print UPWARD's Special Edition costs $49.

A single copy of the 22-page edition costs $12 without shipping costs.

Quantity discounts:

If you order 15 – 49 copies, you’ll get a 5% discount.

If you order 50 – 99 copies, you’ll get a 8% discount.

If you order 100 – 249 copies, you’ll get a 10% discount.

We are also willing to separately consider a request for an edition with more pages.

A permanent link to the print edition will be posted on our gallery website.

Cover: Full color, laminated softcover, 250 gsm.

Content: Full color, 115 gsm silk paper.

Size is 21.60 x 28.00 cm / 8.50 x 11.02 in.

Printed in the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands.

After the preparation of the edition, the artist will also receive a digital version of the layout in PDF format in high resolution (300dpi).

We accept payment via PayPal.

 

How this works?

  1. Fill in and submit a special form on our website. You will need to indicate your full name, contact information (website, e-mail, links to social network profiles), short information about yourself and your location, and artist's statement. It's free!
     
  2. The gallery's curator will review your application within two to five business days. If they respond positively, we will contact you and send you a payment link.
     
  3. Within three business days of receiving payment, we will send you our request for photos of you and your work.
     
  4. Within five business days of receiving your photos, we will prepare the special edition for publication and send you the layout for approval in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
     
  5. Once you approve it, the special edition will be posted on our website within three business days. It will then be available for print orders. We will also email you a link to download a high-resolution PDF version.
