Tell a little bit about how you first got into creating art.

I have been in love with everything art since childhood. My earliest memories as a kid were just doing some pencil sketches, chalk drawings and paintings. Little did I know then that I will eventually be drawn into photography later in life. I got my first camera as a birthday gift very early on, but I did not get into any serious photography until about 2018. That is when I started going out everyday and taking pictures of whatever caught my eye. It was always exciting to come back and take a look at the photographs, think about how something could be improved and then go back and try again. The more I did this, the more ideas bloomed in my mind.

The fact that the same things in nature can be different everyday is what fascinates me to capture this very aspect of it

What is your source of inspiration?

My greatest source of inspiration is the same as what I had as a child, it is the want to create something unique and beautiful. I find nature to be that one place where I can spend hours being absorbed into it. The fact that the same things in nature can be different everyday is what fascinates me to capture this very aspect of it. I usually go to the same places multiple times and every single time there is something different that I can see. I try to blend it with various photography techniques. The goal is to come up with a unique piece of art that shows nature's ever changing color palette, patterns and details.

What themes does your work involve?

My work involves capturing different phases of the natural world like the changing seasons. I also do some astrophotography which requires a lot of patience and dealing with very frequent failures. But these are the challenges that drive me to make photographs that tell a story.

What is important to you about the visual experiences you create?

Through my photographs and experiences, it is very important for me to draw people into a world where they too can imagine the infinite ways in which nature creates, nurtures and let go gracefully to make space for a new cycle of life. Most of my work that is themed around seasons are based on the beauty of accepting changes. Appreciating everyday things that we could just walk by without even noticing, but with a different perspective it will look like a completely new find.

Do you work from memory, life, photographs, or from other resources? Describe your creative process.

My creative process is very simple, spending more and more time in nature and not really always looking to create a masterpiece every time I am out there. Instead, just enjoy what is around me, take time to see things and sometimes just stop and observe. It is in one of these observations that an idea just lights up and then you get into the process of creating something new. The process can involve a single or multiple photos combined together with some processing.
