Emma Camp was born and raised in Metro Atlanta. She attended Lehigh University, graduating with high honors in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and a Studio Art Minor. While at Lehigh, she was involved in several research labs, most notably, being the project lead of the “NeuroSalon Project”, which is a group of scientists and artists communicating the link between neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to learn and change) and creativity. Now in the first year of her MFA at Texas Woman’s University, her work features a range of mediums, from painting to sculpture, and she hopes to continue to explore interdisciplinary art. Artist Statement Biology encompasses so many beautifully varied and almost miracle-like intricacies that often go misunderstood or unrecognized due to their microscopic nature. As a student of both neuroscience and art, I have always been fascinated with such intricacies and the profound complexity of our biological systems and framework.
