ROB SNYDER

Rob Snyder started life as a painter and was mentored by Ilya Bolotowski and Ibram Lassaw. He worked with notables such as Willem DeKoonig, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Dash, Alphonso Ossorio and Larry Rivers. He also worked as a curator at The Parrish Museum in Southampton, The Guild Hall Museum in Easthampton, The Metropolitan Museum/Queens Museum and lectured at the Cloisters. And worked closely with Victor D’Amico on the “Barge” for the Museum of Modern Art.
Rob started making pottery when taking his Master’s degree in painting at Pratt Institute. Little did he know that pottery would turn out to be his passion. Rob’s pottery and his studio were a feature story on the Fine Living Channel’s program Back to Basics.
But since it’s hard to make a living as an artist, Rob became an Executive Creative Director/Art Director with 30+ years of experience in advertising.
