Zusanesque is a Finland/Oregon based digital artist and known for her compelling abstract art that captures sensitive, fleeting moments triggered by relationships between people. Her art reflects the (un)masked sensitivity and strength of our connections by merging separate images that each encompass traces of people’s wishes to fit in. As an artist, she considers listening her most important tool. The inspiration of her art is in the stories that people tell. In the core of them, there is often the longing to belong. The “social” in our society is a paradox: never before have people had so many options to connect yet more people than ever feel lonely and have a hard time fitting in. This leads her to work within the balance of inclusion and ostracism.
