With a background in Architecture, sign-writing, Illustration and community work, I finally began working full-time as an artist in 2021. I am influenced by home, heritage, the land and sea with the winter bleakness but beauty that makes West Cork itself. I am also attracted to structures and the co-relation of the man-made in nature and time. With my background in drawing, I automatically chose to paint in pastels, which are very immediate to work with and have energy, but like all artists, I love exploring more new media as I learn.
